Summer Fun

Real food, real fun, from real people.
In the West Shore we see, hear, feel, smell, and taste the joys of farming. Agritourism is travel that allows you to feel country life with your hands, taste the delicious extractions from the land, hear the soft and comforting sounds of rustling grass, hear farm animals calling to one another, and — best of all — allow the sweet air take over your mind.
Farms in the West Shore area are mostly family owned and operated. They know their operation and are able to provide the best education and experience to which no secondary source could ever measure up. Agritourism is a truly memorable way to get to know local people, their culture, and get up close to delicious unprocessed foods. It’s an activity the whole family can be involved in. It’s never too late to learn new production methods and teach the children about different ways of life.

So pedaling is not your style
Head out on a motorized vehicle and see what the West Shore is all about on a fun ride! Feel the warm breeze on your face and smell the sweet scents of farm crops as you take a scooter through the rolling hills and farmlands surrounding the area, making for a perfect full or half day trip.

Golf a different way
Disc golf is one of the fastest growing sports in terms of popularity here in the West Shore. It is a variation of traditional ball golf and is incredibly fun for everyone because it is inexpensive and good exercise. Try booking a course here for your next family reunion, birthday event, or just for the fun of it.

Get a line on things
The fishing venues in the West Shore are world-class and are truly satisfying, since you can fish at your leisure in your float tube, pontoon boat or car-top boat in the small lakes, or take out your canoe, kayak, or larger boat and explore the coast line on the hunt for salmon and halibut. Make your catch using just a worm and hook, or test your skills and techniques through trolling, spin casting or fly-fishing.

Go green
With a long season that can extend from early March well into October, the West Shore is a golfer’s paradise. Choose from award-winning full-length and championship courses or great nine-hole courses that are perfect for the whole family. Whether you prefer traditional tree-lined fairways, breathtaking panoramic views, or golfing amidst the unique pastoral landscape of the West Shore area, you’ll be amazed by the diversity of choices that await you.

Get out there
Stretch your legs a little and get out and see what the West Shore is all about from a natural perspective.
